Catharine’s career path has taken her from New York-based corporate fast tracker to Toronto-based Entrepreneur.

Catharine has a reputation for blazing new trails and launching programs, products, and businesses into market. In 1997, heading up Marketing for Quadravision (later becoming Bowne Internet Solutions), Catharine was responsible for the early development of the web-based relationship marketing category in the financial services industry, spearheading the launch of North America’s first Internet-based personalization software adopted by Banks around the world. After that, Catharine joined Mediconsult as head of Marketing and was responsible for building some of the world’s largest online patient communities and web-based Physician platforms through Physicians’ Online.

Prior to Quadravision, Catharine developed her marketing and advertising fundamentals on both the client and agency side with Continental Cosmetics- Johnson Products and Brandworks Communications heading up accounts including North American Watch, Atomic Skis, The Globe and Mail and President’s Choice Loblaws/Greenbox.

With a deep category development, marketing and technology background Catharine later went on to consult to a range of technology start ups and Fortune 500 companies and along the way, after having her first child, Catharine committed to a path of entrepreneurship launched Market Yourself Smarter in 2002, offering career tools like videoBIO, its goal is to support business people to manage their career, market themselves and build their personal brand and online profiles.

Wanting to apply her passion for women and her know how in building brands and communities, Catharine joined forces with two business partners in 2005 to launch SWING Think Inc., a boutique agency specializing in marketing WITH women which now works with a wide range of clients helping to translate female consumer insights into marketing and communication strategies that make an impact with women. SWING Think Inc. is the producer of the award-winning www.defineyourself.ca web television show which tells the story of women 40+ as they explore their experience with aging.

Catharine is an active volunteer, in her seventh year with the United Way she sits on the Allocations and Agency Services Committee. Catharine is a speaker and source to the media on topics related to entrepreneurship, marketing yourself and Women in Business.
